Demo a quiz‑bowl practice app that parses PDFs, uses text‑to‑speech and audio input with OpenAI APIs, built entirely using Cursor and LLM assistants.
I love trivia! Back in high school, I played a lot of quiz bowl–a game where you hear questions with the clues ordered from hardest to easiest, and you can “buzz in” when you know the answer.
Recently I hacked together an app that lets you upload quiz bowl questions as a PDF, and uses OpenAI APIs to read the questions to you, waits for you to buzz in, and then takes in your answer as audio and grades it against the official answer. This lets you practice on your own by playing questions from previous tournaments.
